Short History

Another sapient draconic species, often mistakenly assumed to be distant relatives to Krothanti. Using this the Krothyet made themselves a high end status gaining themselves a lot of respect across the galaxy. Even if most of it is not justified. 

Appearance

Often standing at a large, 12 ft (3.66 meters) tall, and over 16 ft (nearly meters) when standing on their hind legs. Their average weight is around 4050lbs (1800kgs). 

All over their body, are circuitry-like patterns that extend into their skin. Each pattern is unique to the individual. 

Visible electricity forms along these patterns when they’re excited and not properly grounded.

Biology

The fur of a Krothyet is highly conductive, and the circuity-like patterns help navigate where the electricity goes.

The circuitry patterns on their fur allows them to easily access machines of their own make, with most modern Krothyet sporting an extra pair of mechanical arms, assisting them in precise actions. These arms are fully detachable and have no direct connection with their biology, instead often being made by the Krothyet using them, and sold to others in need of limb replacements.

Krothyet’s internals have an electrifying energy towards it. 

In their body, they have an organ that generates electrical energy by converting biomass. They are also able to store electrical energy inside that same organ.

The saliva of a Krothyet is highly conductive and can be processed into machines to increase efficiency.

Krothyeti have been known for being able to supply ships and electronics emergency power. Typically just enough to send out a distress beacon if they are lost in space, and to run oxygen generators for several days if provided enough food.

Abilities

Nearly all Krothyeti possess the ability to generate and store electricity. They are also able to expel the stored power similar to how one imagines a dragon breath fire.

 They’re also able to charge wireless devices passively just by being in close proximity. 

Lifecycle

Krothyet generally are born in litters of 5 to 6. During their early development, the Krothyet cubs typically gain nutrients from their mother. 

At roughly one year old, they are able to consume proper food, and in some cases are taught how to hunt, or other skills. 

At the 6 year mark they enter what could be considered puberty. Shedding off their old soft fur, and growing a new set of conductive fur. 

After a year of this they start developing lines that run along their bodies. These lines start as large, thick and unorganised, but once they reach 12 years of age, the lines tend to be more uniform and are then considered to have reached their sexual maturity. 

As they age further they tend to generate more electricity till they reach 60. At that point their power output starts declining.

At the end of their life, roughly past 115, they seek out solitude. 

When a Krothyet dies, their body expels any stored electricity inside of their body, causing damage to their surroundings.
